ALLREVIEW — Clinical Review Platform for Australian Aged Care
Building a secure, compliance-ready clinical review platform for Australian aged care — uniting multidisciplinary teams in one audit-ready environment with 65% faster review completion.
Services We Provided
Introduction
The aged care industry is a highly regulated sector for an important reason: aged care. All residents must have access to accurate records, clear communication and quick decisions from a group of various health care professionals. These systems fail, and people suffer.
However, at the outset of this project, there were still a lot of paper charts, disjointed email updates, and manual sign-off procedures in place in most of the facilities. Clinical teams were very busy. Compliance staff were on the ropes. And technology to support the complexity of aged care simply didn't exist.
So, we created ALLREVIEW, a clinical review platform designed for the purpose, built on a cloud-based platform, that brings all disciplines together in one secure environment. There is a multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, GPs, dietitians, physiotherapists, and Podiatrists. Every action logged. All records are audit-ready. Designed from day one for the Australian regulatory environment.
The Problem: Fragmented Care in a High-Stakes Environment
Our Solution: How We Built ALLREVIEW
- JWT authentication with automatic session expiry: protecting resident data if a device is left unattended.
- Five-tier Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Super Admin, Manager, Nurse, Doctor, Allied Health. Each role sees only data relevant to their function and their assigned facility.
- Server-side route guards on every API endpoint, blocking unauthorised URL-based access — a common vulnerability in healthcare systems that we eliminated by design.
- Next.js (Frontend): Fast, mobile-first interface designed for bedside use on tablets and phones.
- NestJS (Backend): Structured Node.js framework handling complex clinical business logic efficiently.
- MongoDB Atlas (Database): Flexible NoSQL database with variable clinical form structures without schema overhauls.
- AWS Sydney Region (Infrastructure): All data that exists within Australia complies with domestic data residency laws. CloudWatch monitoring on AWS (24/7).
Australian Compliance Roadmap
To prepare ALLREVIEW for full commercial deployment, we built a phased compliance roadmap aligned to Australian regulatory requirements:
Results: What Actually Changed
Review completion time dropped from 4.5 hours to 1.6 hours, a 65% reduction. Nurses report spending 80% less time on administrative tasks. Over 1,200 staff hours are saved per facility per year, redirected to direct resident care.
In the 12 months following launch, participating facilities recorded zero data privacy compliance breaches. Audit reports are now exported in a single click, complete, timestamped, and ready for ACQSC review.
The platform is also built to grow. The modular cloud architecture already supports planned future features: telehealth integration, automated SMS and email alerts for overdue reviews, and resident health analytics dashboards.
Handover and Team Enablement
We provided the user base with a full handover package along with the codebase: role-specific user manuals written in plain English, for Nurses, Managers and Doctors, step-by-step video walkthroughs for each role and full technical documentation for future maintenance. The first month showed a 70% drop in support requests.
Why ALLREVIEW Matters for Australian Aged Care
Time saved on paperwork is time given back to residents. ALLREVIEW does not just make compliance easier; it makes better care possible.
Digital transformation is not a choice, it's a mandate, stated the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. Systems should be secure, auditable and work around the way clinical teams do work.
ALLREVIEW was not adapted from an overseas product. Every design and decision, from data residency to audit trail logic, was built for the Australian regulatory environment. The results prove what that difference looks like in practice.
